Actor, stage director, and language coach Anna Magdalena Fitzi has received critical acclaim internationally for her performances at theaters in Göttingen, Oberhausen, Zürich, Schaan/Principality of Liechtenstein, Bregenz, Bochum, Mainz, Bremerhaven, Potsdam, Cologne, Lübeck, Heidelberg, and Berlin.
Awarded Best Young Actress at the 1994 Theatertreffen NRW in Cologne for her portrayal of Anna in Reinhard Göber’s production of Peter Turrini’s Minderleister, Ms. Fitzi has also received acclaim for her performances in NoraMaria Stuart, and the musical Lola Blau

Most recently, Ms. Fitzi staged Handel’s Ottone at Innsbruck’s Early Music Festival, and her dramatic translation of La route du Levant by Dominique Ziegler was performed in Solothurn. At the Theater Biel/Solothurn, Ms. Fitzi created the production Heimet, Heimet, wunderbari Welt about the poet-composer Ralph Benatzky. She staged Martin Walser's Die Zimmerschlacht at the Theater am Saumarkt in Feldkirch and the mono-opera Tagebuch der Anne Frank by G. Frid in the music theater at Frankfurt Opera.

A linguist fluent in German, French, Italian, and English, Ms. Fitzi is a respected and sought-after teacher, currently serving as a lecturer for language and scene at the Hochschule der Künste Bern/Swiss Opera Studio; a teacher for theater pedagogical projects; and an acting coach for singers. She is a frequent speaker/performer for radio, television, and dubbing and can be seen in staged readings and literary concerts.

A native of Berlin, Germany, Ms. Fitzi received her training as an actress and narrator at the Ilg School of Mime in Zürich; the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts; Süddeutscher Rundfunk; and the Conservatoire Royal de Musique et d’Art Dramatique in Liège.
